چکیده
Psoriasis (PsO) is a chronic immune-mediated skin condition with possible joint involvement. Few U.S.-based studies on PsO and psoriatic arthropathy (PsA) have prioritized recruiting diverse populations. Using the ongoing All of Us (AoU) Research Program, one largest databases sizeable proportion participants from historically underrepresented groups in biomedical research, we conducted preliminary cross-sectional analysis to estimate burden PsA across several demographic groups. This study includes adults >18 years old enrolled through Health Care Provider Organizations Direct Volunteer sites. Linking data electronic health records (EHRs), surveys, physical measurements at enrollment, estimated prevalence by age, race, gender, sexual orientation, education, income, insurance, body mass index (BMI), smoking. Odds ratios (OR) 95% confidence intervals (CI) were calculated multivariate logistic regression adjusted for aforementioned variables. Out 329,038 AoU v5, there 251,597 (76.5%) available EHRs. Of these, 150,158 (45.6%) color (SoC) 5,479 (2.4%) diagnosis. Nearly quarter (22.0%) patients had PsA. lower among Blacks (PsO OR 0.32; CI, 0.28-0.36, 0.20; 0.15-0.26) Hispanics 0.77; 0.71-0.84, 0.74; 0.61-0.89) compared Whites. Age BMI linearly associated increased prevalence. Higher odds disease found former smokers 1.30; 1.22-1.39, 2.15; 1.33-3.78). Lower observed uninsured 0.43; 0.35-0.52, 0.37, 0.22-0.58) those less than high school degree 0.72; 0.63-0.82, 0.65; 0.47-0.87). dataset, identified rates SoC, education levels, no insurance. suggests underdiagnosis these underserved populations, possibly due limited dermatologic care access.

Histocompatibility antigens in psoriasis, psoriatic arthropathy, and ankylosing spondylitis.
Patients with ankylosing spondylitis, psoriatic arthritis, and psoriasis alone were typed for HLA A, B, Cw, and DR antigens, and the antigen frequencies were compared with those in a normal control population and in patients with rheumatoid arthritis. Patients with psoriasis had a significantly raised frequency of Cw6. Those with arthritis in addition to their psoriasis also had raised frequenc...

متن کاملSacro-iliac joint in adult rheumatoid arthritis and psoriatic arthropathy.
Sacro-iliitis is held to be an early and constant sign of ankylosing spondylitis (AS), a frequent sign of Reiter's disease, and one by which it is possible to distinguish these diseases radiologically from rheumatoid arthritis (RA). Recently Cohen, McNeil, Sharp, Schubart, Calabro, and Calkins (1959), in a combined clinical and radiological study of AS and RA, briefly noted that "the sacro-ilia...

BACKGROUND The Multinational Assessment of Psoriasis and Psoriatic Arthritis (MAPP), a population-based survey of patients, dermatologists, and rheumatologists, was conducted for better understanding of the unmet needs of psoriasis and psoriatic arthritis (PsA) patients. OBJECTIVE To report results from US physicians and patients. METHODS Adults were contacted by household telephone, using ...
